Indoor pools will cause condensation and mould unless environmentally controlled. Enclosed air will has a very high relative humidity.
People still believe they can just open a few windows or doors to vent the room, but unfortunately this not practical and is costly as you are wasting heat to the outside air.
By maintaining the air temperature inside the pool enclosure to within +1°C of the pool water temperature, you then create a positive pressure which helps to prevent evaporation.

For many years we have worked very closely with Heatstar® who manufacture specialist equipment to control the environment within pool rooms. The systems remove excess moisture from the atmosphere, recapture lost heat from the pool, and recycle the heat in a dry state to keep the pool room warm and comfortable.
There are different products available to suit the size of your project.

Pegasus: Ideal for small pools or spas. The Pegasus wall mounted units are available with supplementary air heating coils and – through the wall” mounting kits.

Orion: Ideal for smaller indoor domestic pools. The Orion provides dehumidification, air and pool water heating and can be concealed in an adjoining room, utilising a special flexible duct and grill kit.

Andromeda: Ideal for all indoor swimming pool environments. The Andromeda is a packaged unit providing a effective heat recovery and complete heating of air and pool water to prevent condensation. Air distribution is normally done via ducting.
We have been designing and installing such systems for many years which can even put back lost heat into the pool water. Each system is designed for the individual pool, building and customer. Warm air can be reintroduced to act as a de-mister in glazed pool rooms, at high, medium or low levels using ducting.
Oyster Pools work with our colleagues at Clean Air Consultants to provide professional and discreet ducting solutions for your Environmental Control Systems.
